Microsoft has trademarked an “S” logo just days before Project Scorpio’s reveal at E3 2017

E3 2017 is so close, and these are the days when juicy little tidbits sneak through the crack usually thanks to overzealous leakers. As spotted by The Verge on NeoGAF, Microsoft has just filed a trademark for a new logo (seen above) for "video game consoles for use with an external display screen or monitor; video game interactive remote control units" and "computer game software for use with personal computers and video game consoles."

Here's a screenshot of the trademark:

This is by no means a confirmation, but the immediate reaction is that this may be the logo for Project Scorpio, whose official unveiling is set to happen this Sunday. It's still unknown if the Scorpio moniker will even stick, but Microsoft is scheduled to reveal the final name, price, and release date of the console during their press conference.

It's also worth noting that the font of the "S" logo is very similar to the "Feel True Power" ad that has come out.

Microsoft's E3 presser is going down on Sunday, June 12th at 2 PM PST/5 PM EST. Expect a final confirmation then.
