Microsoft introduces MyAchievements for Xbox LIVE Rewards

Microsoft has unveiled MyAchievements, a new program that will reward you for your Gamerscore. Available to Xbox LIVE Gold members, MyAchievements is broken into three levels — Contender, Champion, or Legend — based on your Gamerscore; the higher your score, the larger the reward.

The levels are as follows:

  • Contender: 3,000-9,000 Gamerscore
  • Champion: 10,000-24,999 Gamerscore
  • Legend: 25,000+ Gamerscore

Each tier offers a "special gift" during your birthday month. The Champion tier adds a 1% rebate on your Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchases every month, while the Legend tier bumps the rebate up to 2%.

Although MyAchievements is a new program, the concept of rewards players is nothing new for Microsoft. In 2010, Microsoft launched Xbox LIVE Rewards, offering Microsoft Points in exchange for taking surveys. You can sign up for MyAchievements right now on Microsoft’s official site.

Speaking of rewards, GameZone also offers plenty of them just for visiting our site. Right now we're giving away a free PS3 copy of Borderlands 2!
