Microsoft looks ahead of Halo 4 and acquires ‘Halo 7-9’ domain names

Microsoft has already made it very clear that Master Chief's journey will extend long beyond Halo 4. It's been reported that Microsoft has acquired several more domain names surrounding their popular franchise.

According to Fusible, Microsoft acquired several domain names — including halo7.net (Whois), halo7.org (Whois), halo8.org (Whois), halo9.net (Whois) and halo9.org (Whois) — through internet brand protection company MarkMonitor. The new domains are now added to the growing list of reclaimed Halo domains which Microsoft has been busy acquiring. Below is the list of registered Microsoft Halo domains:

  • Halo2.com
  • Halo3.com
  • Halo4.com
  • Halo5.com
  • Halo9.com
  • Halo10.com

While these domain acquisitions signify a healthy future for the Halo franchise, don't let Microsoft's looking into the future from thinking their utmost attention isn't on the upcoming release of Halo 4, one of the most anticipated titles of 2012.
