During E3 2016 Microsoft confirmed the existence of the more powerful version of the Xbox One, Project Scorpio. This year, it looks like Microsoft will be talking about the Scorpio during their E3 press conference again.
Microsoft has confirmed when they will be holding their press conference and the confirmation came typed on top of one of the more frequently used images from the Project Scorpio announcement from E3 2016. Using an image from the Scorpio briefing is a pretty solid tease that the console will be making some sort of appearance during the event.
Project Scorpio was detailed to feature eight cores, six teraflops, 320GB/s memory bandwidth, 4K/VR gaming, and backward compatibility, when it was announced in 2016. Hopefully, E3 2017 shows off a bit more of the Scorpio – like perhaps the way it looks.
In addition to the Project Scorpio tease, Microsoft has moved their conference from Monday at 9:30 AM EST to Sunday at 11:00 AM EST. This might be due to E3 going public this year.
