Microsoft today introduced the Season Pass Guarantee, a program that ensures any Season Pass bought for a "participating Xbox 360 title" will automatically transfer to the Xbox One.
The Season Pass Guarantee was first announced during Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer reveal, but Microsoft explained that the program is also being supported by other big publishers including Activision, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts which also confirmed that all Battlefield 4 stats (and DLC) will also transfer from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.
"Season Pass Guarantee makes transitioning from Xbox 360 to Xbox One an easier and smoother process, so you don’t have to worry about which console you’re playing games on or repurchasing your existing add-ons on Xbox One," Microsoft said. Additional participating publishers and their titles will be announced "in the coming months."
Although Sony hasn't formally announced an official program name for this type of thing, it was also confirmed that the same type of DLC content transfer will be possible on the PS3 and PS4.
