Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's multiplayer beta kicked off on Xbox One and PC yesterday, but it appears to have hit a snag. While the PC version seems to be working fine, Xbox One users are having some issues when redeeming the beta tokens.
It's been a problem since the beta went live last night and it has persisted throughout the day. Treyarch and Microsoft Support provided an update on the issue, though it's more of an acknowledgement rather than a fix.
As of 12:48 am CST (the last time the Xbox LIVE Status page was updated) Microsoft's support reads:
Hey Xbox members, we are aware that some of you may be experiencing issues redeeming your beta tokens for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. We are working closely with our partner to get this resolved ASAP! Thank you for being patient while we work. We’ll post another update when more information becomes available.
On the bright side, the community has come up with its own fix: trick your Xbox into thinking you live in Brazil. I don't know why, but apparently this works (I've not tested it).
