Several months later, Microsoft is still trying to change the perception of the Xbox One. Numerous policy changes from when the Xbox One was first announced in May have led to some confusion among consumers as to what the Xbox One offers and a new marketing approach looks to finally explain it once and for all.
An image, provided to IGN, looks to clear up any of that confusion by highlighting the fact that you can "share, trade-in, resell, & gift game discs to your heart's content."
The actual image directs consumers to GameStop's new "Get the facts" web page that provides further details as to what the Xbox One can and can't do. The page serves as a reminder that you can now play Xbox One games online or offline, rent games, share games, resell games, play anywhere with Xbox LIVE Gold, and control your privacy when using the console.
I find it a little odd that GameStop is hosting such a page considering the Xbox One console is currently sold out online. Perhaps there's more too the perception than Microsoft and GameStop are letting on. #conspiracy
