Microsoft Store offers $10 coupon and 1600 Xbox LIVE Points for Borderlands 2 purchase

Microsoft really wants you to get Borderlands 2 for the Xbox 360 — so much so that they have announced quite the intriguing promotion.

Major Nelson announced the new deal, currently available on the Microsoft Store, which adds a $10 coupon and 1600 free Xbox LIVE points when you pre-order Borderlands 2 for Xbox 360.

To take advantage of this promotion, check out the Microsoft store. Remember, pre-ordering Borderlands 2 before the release date will also make you a member of the Premiere Club which makes the Mechromancer DLC character completely free. Over the weekend it was revealed that the Mechromancer is expected to arrive on October 16 and cost $9.99 for non-Premiere Club members.

Being a Premiere Club member also grants you the Vault Hunter's Relic which boosts gear-hunting fortune, a Golden Key to unlock a rare item in the mysterious Sanctuary Loot Chest, a package of unique Gearbox Golden Guns to help you start your journey on Pandora – all for free!
