Creative controller company Scuf has penned an exclusive deal with Microsoft, a move that will see the high-end modification specialists go into official partnership with the tech giant.
Scuf provide a pretty unique product. The business has made its name in the gaming controller market, modifying and selling customized pads for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The customizable features that Scuf provide are pretty well known for giving players a certain edge, something that has really established the brand among professional gamers. Some would even say that Scuf's controllers are a must-have when it comes to playing games on a professional level, with many 'YouTubers' boasting custom controllers – OpTic NaDeSHoT, Fwiz and others spring to mind.
If you haven't really seen the Scuf controllers before, you can head over to their site by clicking here. Or check out the video below:
This new agreement makes Microsoft the official third party partner for professional gaming, which makes a lot of sense given the features on the new Xbox One Elite controller. Reason being, Scuf have been designing controllers for gamers for a while now, not only providing colour changes, but have been building in paddles and other cool features – much like Microsoft's new controller.
We also understand that Microsoft, per this deal, now has the rights to Scuf technology and patents. Many gamers might be excited about Scuf's ideas hitting a larger market for Xbox, however this deal would presumably see the end of Scuf's PlayStation range, albeit that is not confirmed as of yet, but it's certainly something to think about.
