2016 has only just begun and Microsoft is already teasing new features presumably coming to Xbox One this year. First up looks to be a new Xbox One party feature.
If a video from Xbox Director of Program Management Mike Ybarra is any indication, a new feature will allow you to view who is in a party before joining. This is one of the most-requested features on Microsoft's Xbox feedback site, so it's nice to see the company catering to what fans actually want.
It's not yet known when the feature will arrive, but Microsoft has been pretty consistent releasing updates on a monthly basis. This week we received a small system update containing mostly behind the scenes bug fixes; however, in November Microsoft launched The New Xbox One Experience with backward compatibility, allowing you to play some Xbox 360 games on Xbox One natively, with next-gen features such as screenshots, broadcasting, and Game DVR.
Assuming this feature is nearly complete, and it looks to be, maybe we can expect it sooner rather than later.
