Microsoft testing Xbox Live region-switching tool

A new report hints that Microsoft is testing a new web-based tool that makes region switching a lot easier.

Technology news site NeoWin has captured a screenshot of a webpage about the account-migration feature, currently in beta. It's not clear when the tool will go live, but the pilot program apparently allows users to switch regions once every three months, taking their gamertag, Microsoft Point balance, Xbox Live Gold membership, and Achievements with them.

Some services and material may not be transferable, such as Xbox Music subscriptions and promotional items.

Early reactions to the tool are positive.
