Microsoft to hold monthly events until Xbox Series X launch

Microsoft has penned a very informative blog post today where they share the future road up to the launch of their new game system this Holiday. According to it, gamers can look forward to learning much more about next-gen, the Xbox Series X, and games with news and events taking place each month.

It sure looks like Microsoft is going to launch its new console this Holiday, despite the Coronavirus pandemic hampering industries all around the globe. It’s a relief that the team has once again affirmed that the targeted Holiday launch is still standing. And to prepare for the launch, Microsoft will be sharing news, gameplay footage, and more in the period leading to it.

Starting with the May 7 episode of Inside Xbox, we will be showcasing what happens next in the world of Xbox, every month, which is why we’re calling it “Xbox 20/20.” These monthly moments will take place throughout the rest of the year and will be a way for us to engage, connect and celebrate with you about what’s in store for the next generation of gaming, including what’s next for Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Studios, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud. Every month will bring something different.

These so-called “moments” will happen monthly and are going to start with the upcoming Inside Xbox. So, the event this Wednesday where we will be greeted with next-gen gameplay from various third-party developers on the Xbox Series X is just the start. Future events will focus on first-party titles under the Xbox Game Studios banner.

But there’s so much more to talk about. Not only is the new console and games part of the focus but how gamers will play them. The game streaming service Project xCloud and the game subscription service Xbox Game Pass are also going to be featured in the near future. If there was any doubt that both of those are going to play a major role next-gen, they ought to be dissolved by now.

Make absolutely sure to tune in to this week’s Inside Xbox on May 7th via Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. Microsoft also confirmed that next month’s event is going to be all about Xbox Game Studios’ games with gameplay footage and game announcements.
