Microsoft warns against turning your Xbox One into a dev kit

Thinking of using GameTuts guide to turn your Xbox One into a "dev kit"? You may want to think again, as Microsoft has warned that doing so may cause the console to be "unusable."

"Changing the settings in this menu is only intended for developers for Xbox One, and this alone does not turn the console into a development kit," Microsoft said in response to the video, which actually does warn that inputting an incorrect SandBox ID can trigger a boot loop-inducing error.

"We strongly advise consumers against changing these settings as it could result in their Xbox One becoming unusable," the platform holder warned. If you are someoen who did put your console into this developer setting, Microsoft explained that you can revert back by restoring factory defaults under "Settings/System" and selecting "Restore Factory Defaults."
