The majority of Microsoft's E3 will undoubtedly be centered on the Xbox One — with games as the primary focus — but the console maker has hinted at a "huge announcement" regarding the current Xbox 360.
In an interview with Gamespot, Microsoft Game Studios VP Phil Spencer suggested that the Xbox 360 "is going to be very vibrant for many years," when asked if there will be support for the aging console once the Xbox One releases. In fact, he even teased an upcoming announcement for the machine.
"I think it's huge, [Xbox 360] announcement for E3 that I keep wanting to talk about, but I can't," he teased. "I think it will surprise people."
Spencer didn't elaborate any further, but did bring up that he "loved" what the company did with Minecraft in bringing it over to XBLA, before concluding: "I think there's a lot of life in the [Xbox 360] for years to come."
So will there be more game announcements for the Xbox 360 or is Microsoft's announcement far bigger? What would you like to see announced? And don't say current Xbox 360 XBLA support on the Xbox One, because Spencer already ruled that out.
