Microsoft will not be making any game announcements during The Game Awards show

Oh, ok.

When it comes to The Game Awards developers like to show off the games they've been working on, while the games they just released compete against other games for 'prestigious' awards.

Whether or not the awards truly are prestigious is a different argument all together (I mean who exactly says that these awards are important?), but we can't really argue about developers showing off games that are in the works at these types of events.

Yesterday, it was announced that Metal Gear Online and No Man's Sky are only two of sixteen games making world premieres tomorrow. What's interesting is that Microsoft won't be making any major announcements or reveals during the awards show. The leader of Microsoft's marketing team answered the question of, 'what are you showing at The Game Awards' on Twitter, his answer was less that exciting:

Now, this could be a ploy – make us think one thing, then surprise us.

Will you be watching the show?
