Microsoft: ‘Your next Halo journey will begin in 2014’

Rest assured gamers, your "next" Halo journey will begin in 2014 — hopefully on Xbox One. Responding to confusion over the next Halo's absence from Microsoft's list of upcoming Xbox One games in 2014, senior PR manager Rob Semsey took to Twitter to calm the masses.

"Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm," he said. Wait, wait, is he referring to the next console entry in the series or another spinoff like Halo: Spartan Assault (which also eventually came to consoles)? I assume he's talking about the Halo that was teased during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference, but without any official word from Microsoft no on can say for certain.

As for why Microsoft never referenced the Xbox One Halo game in their post celebrating three million consoles sold, Semsey admitted it was only because it doesn't have an official name yet. Halo 5 sounds good to me if it means we can finally get a release date.
