Mighty No. 9 has gotten a new official release date of February 9th to replace the hastily scrapped previous official release date of September 15th. Inafune’s spiritual successor to the Mega Man series has gotten messy in the last couple of months as confusion, delays, and rumors have mired the crowdsourced project.
That said, they have finally released the backer-exclusive demo as well as a note from the developers, We are extremely sorry for the delay in delivering this demo to you, but we hope you enjoy your time with it! Also, as a result of switching to DRM-Free distribution, there is obviously not a cut-off date for this demo. You are also welcome to stream or record gameplay videos to share with your friends and followers!"
Mighty No. 9 is now scheduled for a North American launch of February 9, 2016.
