It would be so easy to just slap together a skin that resembles Miles Morales from the 2018 CG film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The outrageously fun movie was the first time that the masses in cinemas came into contact with Miles Morales.
No doubt a big reason that the follow-up game to the Spider-Man game from the same year features Miles Morales as the main playable character. So, how fitting then that both incarnations of Miles come together.

The Spider-Man suit from ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ is confirmed for the upcoming PlayStation 5 launch title Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Not only that, but donning the suit transforms the animation even. Similar to the movie, the Spider-Verse suit changes Miles’ animation, making it look like a mix between stop-motion and hand-drawn comic.
It’s really super slick to witness and a brilliant addition to the game. Today’s new gameplay video then shows the new suit in action in a lengthy video. Keen eyes will notice that when you fight enemies in the Spider-Verse suit, you even get speech bubbles straight from the comics that emphasize hits.
It’s this attention to detail and love for the Spider-Man universe that has us eagerly awaiting November 12th. The date when Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches concurrently on the new PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. While it’s nice that owners of a PS4 can also play the game, it’s the next-gen version that truly shines. Crisp 4K resolutions at 60fps are only possible on the PS5 after all.
