Miles Teller recently stated that he'd be willing to return for a sequel to last year's cinematic flop, 'Fant4stic'.
In a recent interview, Miles Teller sat down with JoBlo to talk about his upcoming action-comedy, 'War Dogs'. While discussing some of his past projects, the question inevitably came up about his venture into the comic book realm with last year's theatrical disappointment, 'Fantastic Four' aka 'Fant4stic'. When asked if he'd actually be willing to return for another installment, Teller had this to say:
"Yeah, for sure. I loved the cast, I loved the characters. I think it's such an interesting dynamic. I love how much they really need to rely on each other. This Avengers thing, they've kind of created their own Fantastic Four in a way, Marvel's first family. Their powers can't just exist on their own, you need Thor to do this, the Hulk to do his thing. So yeah, absolutely, I would do another one."
Teller went on to say that his process involves him trusting in the director for whatever project he's working on. The fan and critic reception not withstanding, he claims that the movie was something he deeply cared about and that he'd be embarassed to involve himself in something just for the sake of making money if he knew in his heart the project would end up being such a disappointment.
It's not hard to imagine that this may have been true when he signed on to the movie, but as we all know now, after all the turmoil and behind-the-scenes drama between the cast, crew, and studio, its likely the whole situation deteriorated during production. As good an actor as Miles Teller has proven himself to be, he still seems to have faith in the franchise and is confident that the movie deserves another shot.
