Mojang took the stage at Gamescom 2015 to announce their new Xbox One exclusive title Cobalt, a 2D platformer and co-op centric title. It will be geared for local co-op without any online multiplayer but has fast paced action, platforming and all kinds of "multiplayer awesomeness". High tech weapons, snow levels, space levels and more are coming to the title this October exclusively on Xbox One.

Created by Jens Bergensten, Daniel Brynolf and Pontus Hammarberg of Oxeye Game Studio, Cobalt is published by Mojang and Microsoft Studios, and developed for Xbox One and Xbox 360 by FatShark. Cobalt features six different multiplayer modes, including deathmatch, capture the flag, and team strike, for up to eight local or online players. You can also co-op your way through Cobalt’s adventure mode as a cyborg who is sent to uncover the mysterious disappearance of a human colony on an alien planet. With over 30 multiplayer maps, three dozen types of weapons, customizable robot avatars and unique gameplay elements such as auto-slow-motion, rolling and ride-able enemies, Cobalt offers endless discovery and entertainment.
