A new update for Minecraft Pocket Edition has been submitted for review and should be approved in one or two weeks, Mojang said today. Update 0.6.0 was "intended to be a small patch", but actually includes quite a bit of new features. Mojang was kind enough to list the full changelog:

The update will be available for both iOS and Android devices once it does go live; however, Mojang noted that starting with this update, it will require Android 2.3 or later. Minecraft Pocket Edition will no longer support Android 2.1 or 2.2, but you will still be able to player older versions of the game. Or you could just get it on PC or Xbox 360.
