A new update for Minecraft has been announced by Mojang. The update applies to the Windows 10 and mobile versions of the game. Update 1.1, also known as the Discovery Update focuses on uncovering secrets.
"There are many mysterious and wondrous things to uncover," Mojang said in their blog post. "Barter with a cartographer for a treasure map, sling your supplies into a llama's pack (or into a shulker box) and embark on an epic quest to locate the dank and dangerous forest mansion."
Along with these new things to do, the Discovery Update also brings new enchantments including Frostwalking (walk on water) and Mending (sharpening your sword). Defeating the monsters within the mansion will also grant you the "Totem of Undying" that keeps you alive even when you seemingly would have died.
Other updates include the ability to dye your bed, build new glazed terracotta and concrete blocks. Mojang says that this is "just the start" for new features for the Discovery Update and that more details will be announced as release comes.
The Discovery Update will be available "in the near future" for Windows 10 and Mobile with no word yet on consoles.
