Earlier this week a devastating bug was revealed by an independent security firm and Google security researchers. This bug, named Heartbleed, affects about 66% (or more) of sites and breaks down the encryption that protects your data from being seen by hackers.
You may be wondering what this means for you as a gamer?
Well, it means change your passwords. Change your Steam password. Change your Minecraft password, change every password anywhere! Both Valve (Steam) and Mojang (Minecraft) were affected by this bug, but have since patched and added new SSL certificates to help protect your information.
See this as a PSA or warning. Change your passwords and don't repeat a single one.
