Major Nelson has released the latest Xbox LIVE activity, revealing Minecraft as the most played for the week of October 15.
Based on Unique Users, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has finally overthrown Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as the most played. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition launched earlier this year, setting records in both sales and activity. Earlier this month it surpassed 4 million copies sold. This is the first time it's the number one title on Xbox LIVE however.
And with 4J Studios releasing constant updates and skin packs, I don't think it'll slow down in popularity any time soon. Jus last week, 4J Studios released a massive update with tons of new content including the eagerly-awaited Creative Mode.
Of course, with Black Ops 2 releasing next month, it'll be interesting to see if Minecraft can hold off another sure-to-be-solid seller from Activision.
