Tomorrow, Mojang will release Minecraft update 1.7.5. Though described as "relatively small," tomorrow's update adds some pretty impressive features including mini game support in Minecraft Realms. It also preps Minecraft Realms for additional countries (currently available only in Sweden). Mojang hopes to offer the paid service to all Nordic countries (Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark) as early as next week.
Below are the official patch notes for Minecraft update 1.7.5:
Mojang is continuing to work on snapshops for Minecraft 1.8, but have already confirmed there will be an update 1.7.6. This future update, expected to arrive after GDC in March, will add support for the new skin system and name changing. Mojang notes that update 1.7.6 will only add support for changing names; actually being able to change names "may need to wait a little more."
We'll be sure to let you know once update 1.7.5 goes live tomorrow.
