Mistwalker founder reflects on developing Party Wave for iOS

Hironobu Sakaguchi, known for creating Final Fantasy and The Last Story, recently released a game called Party Wave that's a different breed than fans are used to.

The action surfing game is studio Mistwalker's first title, and it's also Sakaguchi's introduction to developing for iOS.

"I think the number one pro of iOS games is that game creators can easily and instantly deliver their games to game players worldwide," he said. "The price is both a pro and a con. I feel $1.99 is an exceptional value. However, at the same time, because of its reasonable price, many people can play it. It is such a pleasure to see many people playing the game I created."

Sakaguchi previously said he wanted gamers to "experience the shared fun of surfing." Party Wave currently has 30 five-star ratings, so it looks like he succeeded.
