MLB 12 The Show new “Diamond Dynasty” mode announced

Yesterday, Sony revealed the name of a new game mode in MLB 12: The Show.  It's being called "The Diamond Dynasty" and aside from it being "really competitive", not much else is known about it.

Community Manager, Ramone Russell, gave a few background details about the mode and what players can expect from it.  Unfortunately, he couldn't give many details about the actual mode – but a little something is better than nothing.

"It's something we've been working on for about 4 years now – in house," Russell revealed.  "We didn't want to release it until we got it right."

Russell continued, "We thought about putting it in MLB 11, but we wanted to hold it back to make sure it could be the mode we wanted it to be."

Russell described the mode as "unlike anything not only in another baseball thing, but unlike any other modes you've ever played in any other sports game."

"It's really competitive, extremely intuitive, and it's a different way to play a baseball game.  We can't wait to talk more about it," Russell concluded.
