Later today, Sony San Diego Studio will debut the first gameplay footage for MLB 15: The Show. Before we get to that though, the studio had another announcement today: the reveal of MLB 15 The Show 10th Anniversary Edition, a special version of the game designed to commemorate the 10th edition of The Show on PlayStation platforms.
The Anniversary edition will be priced at $69.99. For just $10 more than the standard edition, you'll receive what Sony says is "$130 in added bonus content." That includes:
The physical 10th Anniversary Edition is available for pre-order today at most major retailers (Best Buy, GameStop, Target, etc.). On February 10, a digital version, which will contain all of the same digital bonuses, will be made available for pre-order from the PlayStation Store. Another benefit of pre-ordering from the PS Store means you can pre-load the game onto your PS4 two days before it launches.
Additionally, pre-ordering MLB 15 The Show digitally on the PS Store or at various retailers will net you a free voucher for a DualShock 4 Skin for the MLB team of your choice from SkinIt. If you pre-order at GameStop, you'll receive the SkinIt skin plus six additional Bonus Item Packs for us in-game.
MLB 15: The Show is set to release for PS4, PS3, and Vita on March 31, 2015. A livestream featuring gameplay from this year's game will debut today at 2:00pm Pacific via the San Diego Studio Twitch channel. Among the list of changes we hope to see are gameplay and graphical improvements, the addition of licensed equipment, a refreshed Franchise Mode, the Directional Hitting Interface, and Legends. It all sounded very excited, but it was all a big tease since we didn't actually see any gameplay.
