Mobile Suit Gundam Gears Up for Xbox LIVE/Zune

Bandai Channel Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Namco Bandai, announced earlier today that their on-demand anime service ANIMECHANNEL will be streaming episodes one and two of Studio Sunrise’s (Escaflowne, Mai Hime) Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn) on Microsoft’s Zune and Xbox 360 platforms.

The episodes are currently streaming in 1080p hi-definition with a 5.1 channel surround sound English dub.

Gundam Unicorn is based off of the popular Japanese novel by Harutoshi Fukui that takes place in Gundam’s Universal Century timeline. Character and mechanical artwork is being provided by Yoshikazu Yashuhiko and Hajime Kaoki. Episodes one and two have also been subsequently released on Blu-Ray disc in North America.
