Warner Bros. is bringing back the popular dungeon crawler, Gauntlet. Available this summer via Steam for PC and support for the upcoming Steam Machines, the "completely modernized" action RPG will lead the launch of WB Games Vault, a "direct-to-digital portfolio that delivers paid games based on popular Warn Bros. and Midway brands, plus original IP, across multiple digital networks."
"With Gauntlet we combined the arcade style of the original game with an entirely new look and feature set that includes emergent, local and online four-player gameplay," explained Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment senior vice president David Haddad. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studio, the new Gauntlet will innovate on past titles while staying true to the brand. You'll select from four classic characters: Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, and Elf; each character has its own strengths and weaknesses, and play style. Like past titles, you'll fight your way through procedurally generated dungeons against a variety of monsters and enemies.
Gauntlet will be released on summer of this year.
