Molyneux’s indie game Curiosity is one month away

22Cans studio founder Peter Molyneux's first indie game is coming next month.

Curiosity is a social media experiment and "a test about the psychology of monetization," according to Molyneux.

Molyneux has revealed that the game will arrive for PC, iOS, and Android on August 22. Players must collectively chip away at a cube comprised of 60 million smaller cubes, and only one person will make the final incision and look inside.

Players can purchase better pickaxes via micro-transactions — a diamond chisel, one of the best tools, costs a whopping $77,400.

"This is not a money-making exercise," Molyneux said.

What will lucky players find at the center?

"It's so amazing I think it will appear on news reports," Molyneux told Eurogamer."Though it's not a dead cat, by the way."
