Those of you who prefer not to clean up the mess of pieces after a board game will be thrilled to hear that Ubisoft will be developing and publishing some of Hasbro's most famous board games, including Monopoloy, Risk, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Battleship, and Cranium for current and next-generation consoles.
“We look forward to collaborating with Ubisoft to offer consumers innovative new ways to experience their favorite gaming brands,” said Hasbro senior VP and general manager Mark Blecher.
“Ubisoft’s leadership and expertise in the console gaming space will help support Hasbro’s strategy of bringing consumers engaging play experiences with our brands across multiple platforms.”
I've never been a fan of digital board games, as I prefer the physical pieces in front of me, but to each their own. Unfortunately, no release dates or prices were make available so for now we'll have to settle for the vague announcement.
