Capcom has officially announced the exact release date for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate; it will be launching on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 19, 2013. It will be available across Europe on March 22, 2013.
As expected, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be offered for digital purchase on both systems during this launch timeframe. Yesterday, Capcom revealed plans to bring many of their retail 3DS titles to the Nintendo eShop — Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate being one of them.
Additionally, a free demo for both Wii U and 3DS will be made available on February 21, 2013, giving you a chance to embark on the journey even sooner. In the game, you take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests to seek and slay monsters while improving your skills and earning equipment upgrades. There are over 200 quests filled with challenging monsters.
On Wii U, the game will fully support the voice chat functionality. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate can be played alone or online with up to four players on the Wii U system. It can also be played locally using up to four 3DS systems or a combination of up to three 3DS systems and one Wii U system.
