Monster Hunter World has had a steady stream of teases sinnce it was revealed at E3 this year. Most recently, we learned about some PS4 exclusive goodies, apparantly including an exclusive beta that goes live this weekend. As beta launch approaches for PS4, Capcom reveals some details on what to expect.
In their latest blog post, Capcom gives details on what time the beta launches. The game can b e started from 5pm GMT on December 9 and runs until Tuesday December 12 at 4:59pm GMT. The beta is 5.9GB in size, and a PS Plus subscription is also required, as it's a online-only title. Pre-loading is available Friday, December 8.
As far as actual game features go, the beta gives a good look into the game. Three creatures that you and three friends can attempt to capture wwill be available across two areas, the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Wastes. Completing each hunt will net rewards that will unlock in the full game once it's released in early 2018.
You will have access to 14 weapon types to take on these monsters. Switching weapons is easily done at camp, and there's even a Training Room included in the beta to test each one.
Capcom also released a video as a rundown of the beta, although it's purely in Japanese at this point.
Paired with this article however, it should be relatively easy to decipher.
The beta may be PS4 only, but the game is planned to release on Xbox One as well on January 28. 2018 with a PC version planned for later.
