The release date for Monster Hunter: World is fast approaching. The game is set to release with a day one patch and plenty of Achievements/Trophies for players to earn.
Monster Hunter: World will be bringing open-world monster hunting Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this week, but first players have to tackle the day one update. This 815-megabyte update has been detailed by Capcom to unlock a number of features, including online features, a mascot character, additional languages and more.
As for as what online features Monster Hunter: World’s update 1.01 unlocks, it’s the fairly important ones. The update will bring players access to multiplayer, event quests, and chat services, as well as the ability to receive additional content to the ‘My House’ service.
In addition to the update details being revealed, the Achievement and Trophy list for the game has been revealed as well. There are 50 Trophies/Achievements to earn, 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 11 Silver, and 36 Bronze. Of course, reading the Achievement/Trophy list opens yourself up to spoilers, so, you can find the list towards the bottom of the page.
Monster Hunter: World comes to Xbox One and PS4 on January 26th, 2018. The PC release is set for some time in Fall. Unfortunately, Monster Hunter: World is not planned to release on the Nintendo Switch.

Additional Systems
- Unlocks online-use systems including multiplayer, event quests, and chat.
- Adds function to receive additional content to the player’s My House room service.
- Adds gallery function to the title menu to replay event scenes.
- Adds a Gallery Mode that enables you to watch the event scenes you have previously seen. The appearance of the player character will change based on the save data.
- Mascot character Poogie added to Research Commission HQ.
- As you progress through the story, Poogie will appear in the distribution area of Research Commission HQ. You can deepen your friendship with him through skillful petting. If you pick him up and take him around, something good may happen.
Additional Display Languages
In addition to the Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish included in all versions of the game, the following display languages have been added for specific versions:
- Japan: No additional languages
- Asia: Traditional Chinese and Korean
- North America: Brazilian Portuguese
- Europe: Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, and Arabic
Additional voiced languages have not been added. All versions of the game will feature Monster Hunter language, Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish voiced language options.
