Monster Hunter: World has recently hit the market and it has knocked it out of the park in reviews. One big compliment the game gets is on its extremely detailed character creation system. The sheer amount of options are unbelievable, but such a good thing comes with one solid complaint: We can’t go back and change it.
A number of fans have complained about not being able to redo visual options to their characters once they leave the creation menu. With such a vivid editor, why would we only want to see it once? Game Watch Impress asked the creators this at Taipei Game Show 2018.
Ryozo Tsujimoto, Producer: You can’t redo it, but when making a character you can check their expressions, so you might want to do that first while making a character. However, if there’s enough demand for it then I’ll put it under consideration.
Yuya Tokuda, Director: You can change the lighting on the bottom-left. Using that, not only see what it’s like during the daytime, but you can also check the expressions and such for night. I think if you use that while making it, it might not be as off.
We’d like to see this option added, simply for the chance to play with one of the most praised features of the game more.
Monster Hunter: World is available now on PS4 and Xbox One with a PC release scheduled in Fall 2018. For those in the market for the game and an Xbox One X, there’s a deal at Newegg right now where the game comes free with the purchase of an Xbox One X.
