2001 – For five years running, television viewers have turned to AMERICAN MOVIE
CLASSICS for television’s biggest and best festival of Halloween horror. For
this year’s edition, MonsterFest 2001: YOU DON’T KNOW JACK(r) … About
MonsterFest, the network has teamed with the best name in horror film, Universal
Studios, director/author Clive Barker, sexy SCREAM star Carmen Electra and the

). The result is a multimedia Halloween festival, with a month of special online
material culminating with six days of films, specials and online games dedicated
to movie scares.

monster trivia contest will kick-off on AMC and amctv.com Friday, October 26 and
run through Wednesday, October 31. Listen closely as Clive Barker and Carmen
Electra introduce horror films, then go to amctv.com and compete JACK style. The
top 500 players from the six days of competition will each win a Compaq iPAQ
"Pocket PC". In addition, visitors to the MonsterFest area of amctv.com can
enter a national sweepstakes to win a trip to Transylvania. There is an
exclusive new game every night, and two on Halloween, dedicated to the monsters
featured in the films.
Beginning Monday, October 8, horror film fans
can log on to amctv.com and enroll in AMC’s cyber college, The Transylvania Film
Institute. A special MCAT (Monster College Aptitude Test) designed by the makers
of YOU DON’T KNOW JACK(r) quizzes users on their personality traits to tell
them- "what kind of monster are you?" Throughout the month of October, the
Institute will provide offbeat courses about the monsters and films featured in
MonsterFest 2001. YOU DON"T KNOW JACK(r) about monsters … but you will!

AMC’s MonsterFest 2001 will feature many of
the greatest films starring those four horsemen of horror – Frankenstein,
Dracula, The Mummy and Wolfman – along with an original documentary dedicated to
one of filmdom’s scariest movie sagas, THE OMEN. Each film during the festival,
which runs from Friday, October 26 to the wee hours of Wednesday, October 31,
will be introduced by Clive Barker, the director of legendary films such as
HELLRAISER and author of fantasy best-sellers including Imajica and The Great
and Secret Show, sexy SCREAM star Carmen Electra and Schmitty, the hilarious
wise-cracking host featured in the popular CD-ROM game, "YOU DON’T KNOW JACK(r)."
