Moon Hunters developer announces cult village manager, The Shrouded Isle

Keep your citizens safe....by sacrificing some to the Gods

After releasing the top-down Adventure RPG Moon Hunters earlier this year, Indie Developer and Publisher Kitfox Games has announced their latest project, The Shrouded Isle. The game is a cult village manager, where you play the role of mayor of a seaside village, and it is your job to provide your citizens with food and shelter against overwhelming odds while simultaneously deciding which of your denizens will be sacrificed to appease the gods who are slumbering beneath the waves.

The Shrouded Isle began as a Game Jam project for Ludum Dare 33: You Are The Monster and is being handled by multiple developers from several studios with Kitfox Games doing the publishing.

Here's a list of the game's features per Kitfox Games:

  • Choose a victim to sacrifice every season
  • Balance power across five political families
  • Procedurally generated villagers and relationships
  • Try not to wake the old gods!

The Shrouded Isle is currently due for release sometime in February 2017 exclusively on PC.
