Star of 'Moonlight', Naomi Harris, has been cast in the upcoming adaptation of 'Rampage' opposite Dwayne Johnson.
It was announced a while back that, not only was an adaptation of the classic Midway arcade game, 'Rampage', on the horizon, but it would star Hollywood heavyweight, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It's been pretty quiet on that front over the last year, despite filming having supposedly started last summer, but it seems we've just received an update in the casting.
Star of the recent critically-acclaimed film, 'Moonlight' (as well as the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies), Naomi Harris, has been cast in the epic creature feature. Neither Johnson nor Harris have been revealed to be any character specifically yet, but signs could point to her playing the sultry, no-nonsense scientist, Dr. Elizabeth Veronica. This may not be the case considering her only appearance in the games was in 'Rampage: World Tour' from the mid-90's, but that story involved the creation of the monsters, George, Lizzy, and Ralph, which wasn't really examined in the original 80's version of the game.
We still don't have much on the development of the film, but it is slated to release sometime in 2018, so its likely we'll get some more intel later this year (and hopefully a trailer).
