More Battlefield 4 promo material suggests return of Commander mode, EA again denies

We've got new evidence that suggests the return of Commander Mode in Battlefield 4. New promotional material, this time from EB Games, makes note of the fan-favorite mode that was last featured in Battlefield 2. The feature granted a small number of players with a top-down view of the battlefield, allowing for more tactical decisions to be made on the battlefield.

"Rank up into the seat of a the brand new Commander Mode and lead your team to victory," the tagline on the poster reads.

The poster also mentions Battlelog 2.0, the next version of Battlefield's social hub which keeps track of your stats and friend activity, as well as Battlefield 4's first expansion "Drone Strike."

This is the second piece of promotional material that mentions the return of Commander Mode. The first was spotted at a GameStop earlier this month, but was much less official looking. It appeared the information was printed directly on to a poster by a GameStop employee, rather than by EA or DICE.

We've reached out to EA again about the rumors and although they confirmed theses are "not official Battlefield 4 marketing materials," they have yet to actually deny the rumors. Given that this is the second time a retailer has mentioned Commander Mode, I'm starting to believe Battlefield 4 will see it return.
