Nintendo is often called the Disney of video games. The star child that has always been around. Well, now that comparison is about to become even closer.
Much Like Disney has Disney World, Nintendo is teaming up with Universal Parks & Resorts to bring a real-life Nintendo adventure. Their partnership was announced some time ago, but now we have more details on the project.
Firstly, Nintendo-themed areas are coming to Universal Japan, Universal Orlando Resort, and Universal Studios Hollywood that will be expansive, immersive and interactive. The areas will include attractions, shops, and restaurants.
Does this mean we can choose between a grilled 1UP mushroom with a glass of Lon-Lon milk and a Pikmin salad?
The attractions will have a video game feel, but this time in real life. Nintendo and Universal have also promised that these attractions will be for all ages, so even seasoned gamers can enjoy the fun.
Universal Parks & Resorts has always brought entertainment to millions of families based on compelling characters and technologies, it only makes sense that they'd team up with Nintendo who has been doing that in the digital space for over 30 years.
Planning and creation are underway for these themed areas, but no announcement of a grand opening has been revealed, though the different parks will open attractions separately of each other.
