More sources point to No Man’s Sky release date reveal during Paris Games Week

Rumors have been flying that the elusive No Man's Sky will be hit with a release date during Paris Games Week and it looks like it might very well be happening. Not too long ago, Tidux, an industry leaker (with a decent track record) revealed that the release date for the space exploration game would be announced on October 27th.

A Pan European Gaming Information (PEGI) employee, Ivar Posthumus, responded to an email from a curious Redditor in an entirely vague way… That somehow managed to support the October 27th reveal rumor.

Posthumus did not reveal anything about the game's classification or rating, but they did clearly say that they had played the game and it was worth the wait. A follow-up email was sent to the PEGI employee, before their name was blurred out, from newsite Inverse.

The plot thickens.

According to the exchange between Posthumus and Inverse, the PEGI staff-member did not mean to incite hype with his reply and revealed that it was a 'mix up' in translation.

"We got loads of emails with questions about release dates. Since these questions boil down to the same comment, I use templates as you would expect. Especially for languages I don’t master, such as Swedish, the language the consumer from REDIT [sic] used.”

Posthumus went on to reveal his intended email, that didn't include anything that said the game had been played. Admitting to such a thing would be entirely against PEGI's policy and would more than likely get the individual fired.

It looks as though Posthumus could be saving his butt and keeping himself from getting fired or really didn't translate his email well enough. Either way, it's hard to "accidentally" include two extra lines of text.

The original email:

Original Translated:

"Best Johan,

You recently sent the question below to our web page pegi.info. We regret to inform you that we can not help you with this kind of (technical) product related consumer issues. PEGI policy is to not in any way share any information about the games not yet released. In this case, however, I have received more mail on the same topic today and would like to clear up the misunderstanding a little bit. You can be sure that the game is still to be released. Since I can not go into any details, and have played the game, I can assure you that it is worth the long wait.

Details about the games classification will have to wait until the game came out.

Sincerely,"

Tatiana Morris
