More Shadow Complex Is Inevitable

Developer Chair has been quite busy updating and maintaining their hit iOS game Infinity Blade. The game was such a success that it’s easy to think Chair will continue on that platform from now on. But while Apple’s platform may be tantalizing, the company hasn’t given up on their other “baby.”

“More Shadow Complex isn’t a question of if, it’s a question of when,” said Chair’s Donald Mustard, in an interview with Eurogamer. “Shadow Complex is our baby and we love it dearly and, y’know, we’re working on some cool stuff in general.”

To emphasize the point, he added that Shadow Complex is meant for consoles. “Shadow Complex is designed for a controller. I’m not a fan of trying to shoehorn console controls onto touch screens. They don’t feel right. You just lose so much precision.”

There’s so much potential for a Shadow Complex sequel. There are so few games in that style, and while it wasn’t the most original title, a second chance could be exactly what Chair needs to make the series a standout. I can’t wait to hear more.
