Mortal Kombat and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 confrimed for MLG Dallas!

Big news for the FGC today as Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Mortal Kombat have been officially confirmed by Major League Gaming for MLG Dallas, taking place November 2nd-4th in Dallas TX. It's been known for several weeks that Mortal Kombat would be at the Pro Circuit event, but Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a bit of a surprise. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked, given MLG's previous rapport with Namco working with them for the Soul Calibur V tournaments earlier this year.

So what's on the line for competitors this time around?

  • $15,000 for Tekken Tag Tournament 2
  • $16,700 for Mortal Kombat

This marks Tekken Tag 2's debut on the MLG Pro Circuit, as well as the fourth appearance for Mortal Kombat this year. Will competitors like Pig of the Hut and Perfect Legend be hungry enough to take the crown from EMP REO in Mortal Kombat? And what players will come out of the woodwork for Tekken? Perhaps we'll see the return of Tekken 6 champion ATL Anakin to the MLG stage.  Or, it could even be you. Passes are on sale via MLG's website, $50 for both Mortal Kombat and Tekken Tag 2, or if you are competing in both games, a $70 package price is available.

There's only one way to find out though, and that's by either showing up in person to Dallas to watch the battles play out, or you can catch all the glory on MLG's website, streamed live – and as usual, there will be a HD pass available for those who want the full experience!

Myself? I'll be on the floor reporting everything as it happens, right here on GameZone, so keep it locked here!
