Mortal Kombat X adds Jason to the DLC roster for Friday the 13th fun

In celebration of Friday the 13th, NetherRealm has revealed a very special character for Mortal Kombat X — Jason Voorhees, as in the creepy masked murderer dude from the Friday the 13th movies. He will be added to the roster as a DLC character part of the Kombat Pack.

For those unfamiliar, the Kombat Pack is a DLC pass for Mortal Kombat X that will add four fighters to your roster. The remaining characters are still unannounced, but we do know now that one will be Jason, two will be Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants, and the final spot will be another special guest. Last Month, creative director Ed Boon teased that iconic Twisted Metal character Sweet Tooth could be included.

If you purchase the Kombat Pack by Mortal Kombat X's release on April 14th, you will also receive the Samurai Pack containing three character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana (which confirms Shinnok and Kenshi if you didn't already know).

If you purchase Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition by Coarse, Limited Edition or Premium Edition, the Kombat Pack comes as a part of the bundle. Alternatively, if you buy the base version of the game alone, you can still buy the pack separately for $29.99. Kombat Pack owners will also gain early access to  future DLC content.
