Mortal Kombat X day one patch confirmed

Worldwide reports of Mortal Kombat X being sold to consumers ahead of schedule have revealed a day-one update for the PlayStation 4 version. While the reports haven't openly included that the Xbox One will also have an update, it's not a stretch to say that there will probably be an update for every version of the game.

NetherRealm heard you like downloading, so they put a download after you download the game (if you go digital that is). The update is roughly 1.8 GB on top of the 30+ GB (on PS4) game, and will improve the games performance.

There have been reports of the update affecting coin payouts for winning fights and increased game difficulty, but the update itself doesn't detail these changes. Instead the update (Version 1.01) details the following changes:

  • Improved online stability
  • Multiplayer invite improvements
  • Gameplay fixes and balancing
  • Localized language fixes
  • Bug fixes

Mortal Kombat X is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 14th.
