Mortal Kombat X Mobile hit iOS today

The Mortal Kombat X mobile app is officially available on the iOS App Store for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app will bring 24 Kombatants to your fingertips for you to control in fights with swipes and taps, and gear for you to collect to make your kombatants stronger.

There will be daily events, multiplayer battles, team-based Faction Wars and an additional Challenge Mode is on the way. The multiplayer battles will offer a nice mechanic, called Allies, where you can "borrow" a friend's character to complete your fighting crew in battle.

You can't be too disappointed with a free-to-play mobile app that lets you play Mortal Kombat X (albeit a light version) and unlock in-game content across any gaming platform you own Mortal Kombat X on.

TL;DR: Mobile app that unlocks content for your PS4/Xbox One/PC/Xbox 360/PS3 version available on iOS.
