Last week we heard about a modder than unlocked three unplayable story characters: Baraka, Rain, and Sindel. The process, of course, was fairly complex, requiring the modder to take assets from the game's source files nad rename them to match names used by those associated with Shinnok. Perhaps, though, there's an simpler method to playing as these characters.
That method would come in the form of a "Story Pack." Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat X, is quite active on Twitter, tending to reveal a lot about his games and even answers questions from the community.
During the weekend a fan asked if nonplayable characters (NPCs) would eventually be made playable. Ed Boon replied wondering if the fan meant releasing a "Story Pack." The reply could mean one of two things: it's in the works or Ed Boon was genuinely wondering if that's what the fan meant.
I'm not exactly sure who wouldn't want to see characters like Baraka, Rain, Sindel, Fujin or any of the others as playable characters in Mortal Kombat X.
It would be awesome to see a Story Pack come included for people who preordered the delayed Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.
