Mortal Kombat X to spotlight Jason Voorhees in Living Tower next week

When Mortal Kombat X released last month, gamers had plenty of options on what version of the game they would purchase. There were a myriad of editions that included the Kombat Pack/Season Pass for the game. The standard version, however, did not come with the Season Pass which means DLC characters would have to be purchased separately. Well, sort of.

If you didn't  get in on the premium, kollector's, or limited editions and just stuck with the base version, there's nothing stopping you from experiencing the DLC kombatants. Every week a new kombatant will be spotlighted in a tower, and regardless of them being DLC or not, you get to play with them.

Hockey mask wearing Jason Voorhees is releasing today, but you don't have to run to the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store or Steam to grab him right away. You can test him out before buying him! Next week, on May 12th, Jason will be spotlighted by one of the living towers – giving players who have yet to purchase him the opportunity to play as him. Of course, playing as Jason is limited to the tower and you can not use him in online matches unless you purchase him.

Check out all of Jason's bloodiest Fatalities above, see how they chalk up to everyone elses.
