A little less than two weeks until yet another promising action-RPG that takes inspiration by the Souls franchise is launching. Developer Cold Symmetry has done quite a lot that ought to differentiate Mortal Shell quite drastically compared to other Souls-likes however.
Unlike the games by FromSoftware or many other titles that follow the formula, Mortal Shell gives the player an entirely new layer of strategy by allowing them to possess and play as beaten foes. This adds even more depth since your playstyle will drastically change according to the downed enemy you possess.
